Model Overview:

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the pioneers that ushered in the modern midsize SUV in the early 1990s. Jeep has always wanted the Grand Cherokee to be maneuverable enough for urban duty, roomy enough for family duty, stylish enough to take out on the town and capable enough to tow your toys or shuttle your passengers to a remote campsite. Modern Grand Cherokees are far more refined than the early models, but they're no less versatile.

Unlike most other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been built using a carlike unibody platform for superior on-road handling. Yet Jeep's strong reputation for off-road prowess is retained, thanks to the Grand Cherokee's advanced four-wheel-drive systems and capable suspension. It's a rare combination of attributes in a modern utility vehicle, as the Jeep is able to venture farther off the beaten path than competing crossover SUVs.

Reliable 2nd or 3rd vehicle, perfect for hauling, hunting, fishing or just running errands

  • I love this Jeep - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I love this Jeep, it would be the perfect vehicle if it got better gas mileage. I feel confident driving it where ever I take it. We camp a lot and show dogs so we are off road many times, does great.

THIS IS A SECOND TIME BACK TO BACK BUYER OG JEEP, MY PREVIOUS WAS A USED 1999 LMT V-8 JEEP. I AM IMPRESSED WITH THE COMFORT OF THE 2004 MODEL OVER THE 1999. IMMEDIATE RESPONSE FROM THE V-8 ENGINE IS UNSERPASSED AND NICE TO HAVE THE USE.

  • sharp and fast but... - 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Its fast and sharp-looking. Other than that, theres not a whole lot more. Its terrible on gas and bumpy roads not to mention wet streets and non-existent off-roading capabilities. Very uncomfortable and unsettling on long drives. Also, very boring interior.

  • Excellent Value - 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee

My Forest Green over Tan Cloth Laredo is a very sharp color combo. It is a 4x2(but it will go off-road) and an Inline-6. The six, while super- durable, is a bit underpowered for this heavy of a Jeep, but it can do the job. It now has 130k miles and still runs strong. I replaced the spark plugs, wires, oxygen sensor, and distributor cap and rotor myself and saved $200. But $900 for new radiator, hoses and belts from the dealer! Now it needs new brakes and the e-brake is worn completely out. But this is normal stuff for 130k, and when properly maintained, will last 200000+ miles.

  • Pretty Much Just Amazing - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

The only problems I have had with the vehicle was the door sills, the were kind of popping up and the seat cushions did something funky and it looked weird. The dealership replaced the door sills and we havent had a problem with it and they also replaced all the leather front and back even though the problem was only in the front, they did a pretty good job but not great. The problem with the seats is kind of back but I guess thats the nature of the beast. It has great acceleration and is comfortable, we take it on long 300-500 mile trips and its a dream. I would highly recommend this SUV if you dont mind a SUV gas mileage.

  • Its Still a Jeep! - 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

My family has been buying Jeeps for years now and has had generally pretty good luck with them. Our 2010 Grand Cherokee Laredo is no exception. Before believing the professional reviewers who claim the 3.7 liter V6 engine is underpowered, I suggest you drive one and decide for yourself. Mine has plenty of get up & go although the mileage could be better. My dealer was doubling the manufacturers rebate, meaning I saved over $10,000 off of MSRP before they looked at my trade-in.

  • Complete loss of power. Nice when it runs. - 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

Sitting on the side of the highway just an hour ago with no power and I havent even received my payment book yet:( I really want to like this car, but sitting dangerously close to speeding traffic in the sweltering summer heat is really dulling my enthusiasm. When it runs, life is good. Life is hell when it doesnt. On Edit: After two weeks at the dealership, the problem could not be found. The dealer gave us another new Grand Cherokee with the same options. Chrysler gave us an extended warranty on the replacement car. We are happy with the new Jeep. The old one is still out there and the problem was never diagnosed. The dealer is using it as his daily driver and being diligent in witnessing the problem first hand.

Bought a New 2004 Grand Cherokee and Love it. I use it for my daily commute as well as for off-road adventures and it handles well for both. The navigation system is great especially being able to post breadcrumbs.
